Ashtanga Yoga - Class is based on the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga, which is a set sequence of asanas that transition and flow from one to another connected by vinyasa. The breath/prana becomes the key to focusing of the mind during the practice.  The essence of Ashtanga Yoga is synchronicity of the breath and movement utilizing bandhas or locks that harness and direct the prana.  Modifications and advanced postures will be taught so that all student feel safely challenged.  Knowledge of Sun Salutations recommended.
