Madia’s Studio specializes in helping clients to live more
fully by providing yoga classes, massage and skin therapy, personal
training sessions, belly dancing, pilates fusion and more. Walking into
this holistic health studio is like walking into a safe haven where all
your daily stresses melt away.
Madia
Swicord’s intrigue with the mind-body connection began while reading
The Biology of Hope by Norman Cousins over fifteen years ago and began
what would become her lifelong passion. Already a personal trainer she
then armed herself with psychology and exercise physiology degrees and
later studied massage therapy. As a person who thrives with challenge she
opened the studio in 2000 giving Chattanoogans an alternative to everyday
fitness.
Clients are greeted and made to feel special each time they enter the
studio. There is a sense that Madia and her staff are truly vested in
your happiness. Class at Madia’s is an experience of mindfulness,
relaxation and inspiration. As a movement teacher she teaches her
students the gift of being present in mind and body. “Are you at your
perfect edge?” is a question you will often hear asked at Madia’s.
Finding your edge in fitness and in life is something Madia strives to
impart to her clients. The studio embodies a sense of presence, warmth
and an automatic push to live more fully. It is a place where authentic
experience comes easily, a sanctuary where you can find your own healing
abilities and an alternative to traditional health. |
